	I have a few of these Kodak 1500d's, one with the same message. I am using it for parts. I was told it was a problem with the board itself. The scanner thinks it has a document in it. Let me know if you would like to sell it for parts??? Steve sales@additional-resources.com 504-975-3350

	There is a row of sensors near the entrance rollers in the top cover that has to align with another row of sensors. If the cover is slightly askew, the scanner thinks that something is in the paper path.

	I just reformat my PC and now having difficulty installing Kodak 1500D to my Windows2000 SP4. It seems windows unable to locate driver for the scanner. I'm using original installation CD which stated it compatible with Win98 and NT. The downloaded driver form kodak.com didn't help. Please advice me how to locate the latest driver and workaround to install the scanner.

Also did you install the ASPI from Adaptec. Windows 2000 requires a ASPI interface to 'see' SCSI scanners. It is compatible with Windows 2000, isn't it. 	There are about 4 sensors on the top portion of the scanner that align with the bottom half when it is closed. These have to be free of any dirt, gunk, or anything for that matter. The sensors are about the size of an eraser of a pencil(the are all in a straight line) when you open the top cover you will see them of the top, clean them up and restart your machine and this should clear the error... This scanner is fragile so things of this nature are common. Adam Wisowaty

	Managed to install the scanner, thank you. May I know utility that come with Kodak that can be used to test and configure the scanner. Currently I'm using the default setup.

	I have a couple Kodak 1500D scanners, and I am trying to use them on Windows XP machines. Would you please let me know how you installed the scanner drivers? XP does not appear to recognize the scanner, and the device manager displays Unknown Device, which makes me nervous. I am abpel to acquire an image via TWAIN, though. Thank you for any help. -Ben
