Hello, To access NTFS in DOS I suppose using NTFS Reader utility. The tool is really useful and never failed me before. It is found on a data tools set CD image Active@ Boot Disk that also includes extremely powerful utils for data erase, recovery and backup. http://www.ntfs.com/boot-disk.htm
I'm running on Intel P4 3.0 GHz 800 FSB, on a Asus P4P800-x mobo with Kingston 2x512 mb DDR .. my Power Supply Unit is 400 watts, & was bought around February 2004. I have 4 cooling fans, 2 SATA Hard-Drives (Maxtor&Seagate), 1 Maxtor IDE-Drive,3.5" disk drive, 1 Sony DVD-CDRW, 1 Asus DVD ROM, 1 external Modem ProLink, 17" Monitor with separate power source, and a PixelView GeForce6600 256 mb. I have been experiencing boot failure for the past week. My 1009 Asus BIOS claimed me that 'Overclocking Fail', which I never had done or touch the BIOS or whatsoever. And the only way to get it to boot is by resetting the BIOS Jumper sitting next to the mobo battery. After the power button is pressed, I could hear funny noises, like some thing is struggling to gather some electricity, beeps 2 - 3 times .. then it won't start. I have to unplugged the power source, and do the same thing all over again. Isn't 400 watts enough for all the hardwares I have? Or I should have bigger Power Supply? regards, Iain
I have a T1840 and when I turned my computer on it goes on and off and when I try to go to safemode it scrolls multi(0)disks(0)rdisk(0) partition and so on what went wrong with my computer. will the restore disk work
I have the same problem with my 2-yr old build. Looking for a solution but I was told to try resetting the mobo to default "manufacturing mode". Not sure how yet.
Same problem, computer wouldn't shut down, then it wouldn't start, unless I remove the card. It seems to be a common problem if you search the web and no solution if you are use XP pro and SP2
I've got a wireless router, one PC and 2 laptops. I wish to connect the router with PC( with XP Pro) and set wireless for 2 laptops. The model of router is Level One WBR-3406TX). What is the steps od setup in the PC and 2 laptops.
He is right, my abit-vl6 also has two leaking capacitors that need replaced but everything else looks fine. Other than the bad capacitors I have never had a problem with this board it is actually a pretty nice motherboard.
Make sure you have Service Pak 1 installed, I had same problem.. No I just dont have bass in my music and games. My DVD's seems to work fine, on my 5.1 system, by in games and music there is still no bass.
I bought a Sampron 3000+. When I installed it, I found it was an XP 2700 (or atleast that's what windows xp was showing). It was from Fry's Electronics and it was in a retail box. Would anyone know what the performance differeence between the two are? If the xp2700 is just as good, then I won't go through the trouble to try and replace it. Otherwise, I would try and get the right one.
I'm having the same problem. I brought this mouse and keyboard package thinking Logitech were an ok brand. Obviously I was wrong. Now I'm stuck with this stupid mouse. The only option I have is to pay another 150$ to get another cordless mouse and keyboard. I have contact Logitech and they were quite rude about the problem. Basically telling me they didn't want to know nor do they care about the mouse problems. I have decided never to use LOGITECH products again as far as I'm concerned they can stick it up their bums...
I have not had any problems with my K7S5A either and I have TWO machines with them. I AM having problems with getting the damn SATA on that KT600-A. This board sucks!
If it started after installing more RAM, there is a good chance that the RAM is bad. Have it checked out. You could also use a program like memtest86 or the like to check it yourself. Windows XP will have problems if your RAM is bad. Also, make sure that your RAM is approved for your motherboard. Check www.asus.com.
