I wasn't able to find anything about this Trojan on the Grisoft website. Google didn't offer very much either. The few references to it, seems to be from people running AVG. Perhaps it is a false-positive.
You should write an email to AVG's tech support to report this problem, and request assistance. Post back when you learn more.

| Do you know any RSS Reader which can do that ? T0m 11:45:34 |
| | Hi and tnx for reading my message.
I want to explore the fabulous world of RSS and I would like to know if there is a free RSS Reader software which has these capabilities:
* Detect feeds: Automatically detect news feeds on any Web site to make it easy to subscribe. * Drag a feed: Drag from the RSS or XML button to the reader. You don?’t have to copy and paste. * Integrate with RSS directories: Display lists of RSS feeds so you have a choice of tens of thousands offeeds right from within the program. * "Reduce bandwidth" : Be able to download only changes instead of the entire feed. * Can Import and export lists of feeds * Mark feeds for follow-up, and so on. * Create custom groups or categoriesto be able to organize feeds into groups or categories * Get a pop-up notification: to be notified to the latest news instantly with a pop-up balloon from the system tray.
tnx very much in advance.

| Hopeless newbie Matej Cepl 04:00:35 |
| | Hi,
trying hopelessly to make INN (1.7.2; suck 4.3.2; Debian/testing) running on my leaf node notebook site (yes, I know I should use leafnode for that -- I did, but I would like to learn INN and moreover there are some things where leafnode is not that good), but I am not that successful. I read both Install.ms.txt and now I am working through INN FAQ (currently in the sixth part), but I still cannot figure couple of things:
1) My upstream is news.verizon.net, so I cannot expect that they would connect my INN server and gave me a feed (which seems to me to be the expected configuration of INN server in all manuals), I need something (aka fetchnews in leafnode) which would emulate NNTP reader and feed messages to local INN, right? Do I have to use suck, or there is something inside INN? 2) Is there somewhere HOWTO specializing into creating this small INN installation? 3) Actually, I would like to have more than one upstream -- aside from Verizon (maybe replaced by news.sunsite.dk, but it has quite limited number of NGs), I read most of my news through news.gmane.org. I somehow can read (but not post, about that later) news.gmane.org, but both verizon and sunsite.dk servers require authentication and although I put all required information into /etc/news/passwd.nntp and /etc/suck/get-news.conf (get-news is a Debian script for running suck; just to be sure that we are on the same page, I have posted get-news script to http://matej.ceplovi.cz/tmp/). get-news doesn't seem to read anything when run against news.verizon.net. Is there anything else besides these two files, which should be confiured to make authenticated connection possible? 4) No posting. So far I have to use direct KNode to news.verizon.net to be able to post. But, let's keep this issue for later. I would like to have at least reading part resolved.
Please, help!

| Attn: SUSAN BUGHER (was Re: New release - NewsPOXY) Concerned Usenetizen 02:43:03 |
| | On Mon, 31 Jul 2006 13:03:51 -0400 in alt.comp.freeware, Susan Bugher <sebugher@yahoo.com> bit hard on the hook:
akula wrote:> I suffer from several chronic ailments and it's been a struggle>>just to release this update. > Hi akula,> In light of previous favorable comments about Newsproxy in ACF it seems >desirable to have the download easily available to everyone. LMAO! What "previous favorable comments" would those be, Susan? The only people you'll ever see supporting him are his warez toadies (like "Vrodok the Troll"), his own sockpuppets, and naive persons unfamiliar with his history of sporging, stalking, ratting, and committing almost EVERY conceivable form of Usenet Abuse possible - while acting like he's an innocent nobody trying to help newsgroups be a better place if only someone could clue him in, poor kind soul that he is.
I've taken the libery of uploading your program to alt.comp.freeware's >web site and now ask you to give ACF your permission to host it. You've been duped. The software does virtually NOTHING more than a hacked copy of Forte Agent can do - AND HAS DONE, for close to 10 years.
There are very few people who need to alter their headers or insert custom headers, and those who do have done so with a hacked copy of Forte Agent for some 10 years now - the instructions on how to modify Agent have been published ad infinitum, all one need do is ask in alt.usenet.offline-reader.forte-agent.modified for help. With regard to filtering crossposts, even an unhacked copy of Forte Agent can do that - by simply clicking the "Enable Crosspost Checking" box. With regard to encrypting content, people have been PGP-encrypting messages to Usenet for over 10 years as well.
In essence, there is NOTHING new here - there is no reason for anyone to run a utility through a third-party utility when the first utility can do the job fine.
And Chris "akula" Caputo KNOWS this.
And the only reason he's releasing "NewsPOXY" is to try to make it look like he's someone who provides SOURCE CODE, when in fact he has steadfastly _refused_ to provide source code for his earlier controversial works, in _direct_ violation of the GPL.
In essence, he modified a freeware program a few years ago (PowerPost), continually promotes his modified version, and REFUSES to provide the source code for it pursuant to the GPL. Now, to muddy up peoples' complaints, he then takes ANOTHER freeware utility which is basically obsolete (NFilter), slightly modifies it and calls it "Newsproxy", DOES release the source code for it, and then tries to make it look like he's a person who releases source code! When in fact he _still_ refuses to release the source code for his PowerPost modification, which is PRECISELY what he's trying to bury.
Notice how many times he continually references the fact that source code for "Newsproxy" has been provided. <G> Notice he also sprinkles in a few lies about his health, hoping for even further sympathy.
This individual resides in Seattle. He is not poor, he lives in a $700,000 home. He is not uneducated, he is a college graduate and also attended a private high school. He is also NOT in ill health - he is a physically-fit divorced loner who earns his living as newsadmin of "Altopia", a rogue one-man-band haven for trolls and pedophiles whose "corporate office address" is a drop box at a storage facility. He has supported and defended numerous pedophiles, as well as the pirated distribution of software ("warez"). He has made posts organizing criminals to post warez and has proposed and openly advocated the usage of servers in Cuba to circumvent copyright. He has a _LONG_ history of ratting out posters
http://cgi.tripod.com/utoolz/cgi-bin/g.pl?m=a264f06592a300b4&n=soc
and is unwelcome everywhere he goes.
http://cgi.tripod.com/utoolz/cgi-bin/g.pl?m=2afe774d07d4f46a&n=soc
He has admitted to working with the FBI to "dispose" of those who dare oppose him. His bipolar lapdog "Vrodok the Troll" even assisted him on one of his FBI reporting attempts, and was excommunicated from an encrypted warez newsgroup for doing so.
http://cgi.tripod.com/utoolz/cgi-bin/g.pl?m=ec447eb00b6095de&n=soc
Already a few nyms who opposed him have disappeared from Usenet, and then "new and improved" versions of those same nyms later appear on Usenet and support him. Meanwhile nobody knows what happened to the originals - they vanish into thin air.
What we do know is that he is a compulsive liar
http://kickme.to/LiarFAQ
who claims everyone who disagrees with his is mentally ill.
http://home.graffiti.net/kookkamp/chris/drchris.htm
He is also a dangerous individual because he can speak intelligently and, unlike most deviants, is keenly adept at making naive people think he is "normal" and sincere.
There isn't _ONE_ newsgroup he hasn't continually infected with his presence that hasn't either (a) completely disintegrated or (b) turned into a worthless cesspool. Here is his "Usenet resume":

| Backup software with auto removal of old backups - possible? David Smithz 01:19:09 |
| | Hi there,
We have a PC backing up automatically to another USB drive each day. To make things easy we just use Nero Backup to make a copy of all the files (10GB worth) to the USB drive each day.
However, after time, unless we go in and manually delete the older backups there is no automatic removal of the older backups so eventually the drive becomes full.
Is there a way around this that does not need any manual intervention, or is there some better good value software that will do the removal.
Cheers

| Searchable library-database creator for CD file names/details? Spam Me 00:36:59 |
| | I may be making this harder than it really is, but I would like to create a library-type database of the files I have on a stack of CD's. I'm not a DB-literate person.
What I am looking for is a piece of easy-to-use freeware that takes just the name/detail info (without the file's content) for each file on a CD, plunks that individualized info into a formatted data base, with each file's info associated with the home CD's ID, in a format that will allow each field within each file's info to be edited, searched, sorted as need be. Would want to be able to view those file records in a tree structure, similar to Windows Explorer's.
Some of these files are text, some are media (audio and video). Just want the names/details so I can easily find what's on these CD's without having to load each one and scan the Windows Explorer tree for the file I want. Don't have enough HDD space to keep them all on-line.
Does anything like that exist out there, or would something like MSFT's Access do that? As I said, I am not a DB-literate person (yet).
If this has already been addressed, just point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
p.s. To those who use Google Groups to post to this and other Usenet groups, and have had their email addresses harvested, Gmail's SPAM filters really do work.

| I am stuck on this..can you help please? Richard 23:16:59 |
| | This may be a silly question but it has me really stumped! I imported an item into the UK recently which I paid by credit card, and so I enter the transaction in my credit card register. Now along comes the bill from Fedex for the import duty and VAT and an admin charge for the item and I paid this by cheque.
I am confused as to quite how I should deal with this Fedex bill in my entry into the register for my cheques as the vat figure is not now part of the original goods that it is charged on if you follow me.
Many thanks if you can guide me on this.

I am always amazed at the remote requests but someone comes up with a freeware program!
Try this one: I need a program that will read an Outlook PST file and have an interface that is user friendly, as the ultimate user is computer challenged.
I have googled this to death and can't seem to find a useful program.
Again, thanks,
