Does anyone use the weather and timekeeping features? i never used them, so i figured i would try. i generated weather based off of a place much like where i live, but when i got the results, it is much much colder. i'm getting highs in the 30s in september. thats not right. i did rename the months and stuff to what my campaign uses. also we use 12 months of 30 days, not the 28, 30, or 31. but i don't think this would change it that much.

I use it...especially the time keeper feature...the pop up reminder is great for giving me a heads up when durations expire or an time-plotted event occurs, etc.
As for the weather...if I don't like the temperature, I adjust it accordingly...but the rain/clear skies/snowfall works out pretty well for my game.

I definitely use it. It's great. Since I have 3 moons in my world and a different calendar it's really helpful to keep everything straight in MY head (not to mention the players, who didn't invent the thing, after all). And to be able to say something like "Yes, [moon 1] is -25.3% full . . ." is amazing.

The only reason I have not been using DMGenie of late is because of Real Life issues. WHen I was DMing I used the Weather and Time keeping all the time, and I'd say were the primary reasons why I bought DM genie. I haven't tried comparing them to real-life locations though... so maybe they're off.... but they're plenty close enough for a campaign. The odd heat wave, or storm the player's won't even notice what sort of climate you have them in - unless it is extremely cold or hot. But it's nice to have the genie work out the weather for you!

Hey! How did you get it to keep track of multiple moons?????
I've been thinking about it, but I'm not really very talented in the coding department

go under the menu and customize calendar time. it will bring up a txt file. just follow the instructions and change what you need to change to match your campaign world.
question, does changing the moons effect the weather?
II am using the weather and the timekeeper at great length. I had something interesting happen.
Two game sessions ago, I could set some conditions in the main window (i.e. mage armor, 5h for my 5th level mage) and when I used the timekeeper, adding 15min or 1hr, the number of rounds/minutes left would shrink in the window.
Now when I do it, the condition erases from the main screen when I make time pass in the timekeeper window.
Any thoughts? Does the game rely on a cookie or a txt file that my spyware is blocking?
