| Olympus D-360L SmartMedia cards Tj 01:26:08 |
| | I recently acquired an Olympus D-360L camera. Nice little camera for what it is, but I'm now looking for some new cards for it. The manual I downloaded only mentions SmartMedia cards up to 64Mb. Does anyone know if a 128Mb card will work with this camera? The 64s aren't quite as easy to find as the 128s. I don't need the panorama function, so any brand will probably do.

| Camera that can be used as webcam needed. Home Theatre Guy 18:12:10 |

Camera that can be used as webcam needed.
Just want to cover all the bases. If it can be used to capture video as well that would be great. If that can be done via a USB 2.0 cable or Firewire and saves the output to a PCs hardrive stead of a memory stick that is what i want.
Also i want the video to be decent atleast 640by 480. Better would be great. Also must be good video and be atleast 30fps.
The rest of the camera should be good as well. Want atleast 10 times zoom and atleast 5mp. Would like the Camera to be idiot proof as possible as this is my first digital camera
Price is not a concern but cheapist would be nice. Brand is not a concern either. As long as it does all i want it to.
Thanks all.

| Shooting videos with the Sony DSC-S60 History Fan 17:16:21 |
| | I have the Sony DSC-S60 digital camera. It does a fairly good job taking still images, but I'm somewhat disappointed in the video quality. Mostly in how blurry the video is when the camera is moved side to side. I've had two previous digital cameras, both inferior to my current one, and they did a better job with videos.
The video setting with the DSC-S60 is set to 'Fine.' Are there any other settings I can tweak that will improve video quality with this camera? I certainly can't find any. In contrast, there are about 300 settings for still images.

| troubleshooting USB Logitech WebCam Bv 11:51:09 |
| | Hi,
I bought a Logitech WebCam for Notebooks, and i have trouble with it since Day1 on my new Dell laptop (WinXP). It sometimes works for a while, then the device stops, and is for some unknown reason no longer recognised by Windows.
I've tried uninstalling the driver/software, removing the USB items from the Device Manager. Sometimes lucky, often not. The problem is annoyingly recurrent anyway, and i find the Logitech support pages totally useless.
So any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
bruno

| tripods? Trpallen 06:59:08 |
| | dumb question about tripods: are they universal in the sense that any digital camera will work with any tripod or are they camera specific-or both? I just got the minolta z3 and want to get a tripod but can't seem to find enough detail on the web or on-line stores to guarantee that I'll be buying the right product.
Thanks, Tom Pallen

| IP Cameras: low cost? Les 01:04:39 |
| | Anyone have a suggestion on low-cost video cameras that can be accessed (view, not necessarily controlled) from the internet? I'm hoping for 3 or 4. I don't need to view all at the same time, but it would be good if I could switch from camera to camera to see what's going on.

| How to get Nikon S5's English driver and Picture perfect software? Alison Liu 18:12:03 |
| | Hi,
I bought a Nikon S5 camera in Asia, unfortunately the CD came with only Japanese version of driver and Picture Perfect software. How can I manage to find the right driver and software in English? The America website will not allow my downloading the software from its server because it is considered "grey market" merchandise.
Thanks first for your sharing the info.

| How to highjack my webcam? Rover8898 18:06:58 |
| | Hello all,
I recently added a webcam to my system. When, I visit chat rooms, with the PAlTalk software, I have noticed that some people are able to route "movies" to their webcam feed. I.e Instead seeing the person in front of his computer, you see a *.mpg or *.avi movie that is playing on windows media player of that person's computer. How do I do that ? I looked at all of my webcam's options and preferences, but alas, there doesn't seem to be a "alternate input" for my webcam.
Any help will be appreciated
Regards, -Roger

| Problem with IP Cam: ethernet cable Superas_1988 01:56:37 |
| | Hi everyone, new to the group and I'd be grateful if someone could help me.
Well, I just bought an IP camera system. I connected the Camera with the WebServer (via USB cable) and the WebServer to the internet (via Ethernet Cable).
When I plug the power on, the WebServer is not assigned any IP address (I can see that on the LCD screen of the WebServer).
Can you see anything wrong with the previous topology?
Because when I connected the WebServer to the internet through a Router, the IP address was assigned succesfully and the image was available on the net.
The problem is, I can't afford to buy a Router for such a stupid reason! Can you suggest anything?
p.s.: My internet connection is cable, not ADSL, if this has to do with anything.

| SONY DSC-H5 , good CHOICE? Talal Itani 17:09:37 |
| | Hello,
I am shopping for a Digital Camera for semi-professional product photography. I now use the Sony DSC-P200, with good results. I need a fancier camera, with manual controls, bigger LCD, and more close-up. I locked at Digital SLRs, but I am not totally convinced that DSLR is good for me. The DSLRs have a small LCD display, so I have to keep squinting through the view-finder. I recently discovered the Sony DSC-H5. The DSC-H5 has a nice large display through which I can see the product I am shooting very well. This camera can get 2cm close to the object. it has manual controls, and it is not very big. Do you agree with me, that this camera is a good choice for me? Thank you! (I did visit dpreview and steves digicam, but I like to hear from you.)
T.I.
