With the same disk:>

If I extract it from after a system restart or after entering EAC, the> extraction speed is around 10 x and the drive does not seem to power> down after the extraction is done. If I eject the disk and then extract> again the extraction has a speed of 3.8 times. If I do not eject the> disk and re-extract it the extraction speed is similar to the initial> speed - around 10 x.>

On the first extraction the drive speed is audibly high and it does not> stop spinning when the extraction is completed. After ejecting and re-> extracting the drive speed does not reach an audible level.>

If I stop then restart EAC, extraction speed returns to the 10 x range> for all tracks.>

1. Get EAC to spin down the drive when extraction is complete>

2. Use the same speed approach without having to stop and restart EAC> with each new disk.>
