I purchased an Onkyo TX-906 stereo receiver off of eBay - no manual or remote control. I found a manual online but it does not answer the problem to my dilemma.
How do I adjust the volume for the remote speakers?
It's got two sets of speakers labelled "Main" and "Remote" (what would normally be labelled "A" and "B"). I can control the main set of speakers with the master volume, but the remote speakers do not respond to it.
You need to check where your speakers are connected on the back of the stereo. If they are connect to the front and rear than you need to use the Remote control for your system and then the rear connection is the located on the back and will have locking clips to lock in the wires. The front speakers will have screws that tighten down on the wire . Left and right. then next to the volume buttons which are gray on my remote to the left you have an up and a down button that is where you will adjust your levels for your speakers. Trial and error.
I am just getting ready to list my TX-906 on EBay when I found your question. You need they remote to adjust the remote, center, and or rear speaker; there is no way of doing it from the reciever itself.
Hello, I am new here and am hoping someone can help me with a problem,....I am working on a friends TX906 Onkyo, and he told me he misplaced the blue and black connector that plugged in the rear of the unit, can someone inform me as to what this connector is supposed to do?
Ive had mine for over 8 years and the only way Ive found to adjust the rear speakers is with the remote. The remote has buttons specifically for the remote speakers.
