hammond c3 for sale

Mike 13 April 2006 00:05:53
hammond c3 in excellent shape with the 100 W tone cabinet for sale.
pedals and matching bench for sale. not a road dog...it's been
babied...one owner besides me. i bought from an ex-hammond dealer -
repair guy who had a shop so it was fully serviced when bought in 2003.
it was moved to my house 3 miles away (professionally) and it has sat
for 3 years with probably 5 hours of playing on it tops. one small
scratch on top of bench. 3rd harmonic out but i was advised it's
probably a tube and i'm looking into it.

1800.

i'll try to get pix in the next week - (my step daughter lost her
digital camera!)...hoping to sell somewhat local due to the move thing.
i'm right outside of cleveland ohio.

selling due to lack of use and wanting to pay down debt...i'll regret
it.

Those of you thinking of taking this on the road think again. In a
previous life I was the roadie of a band with a C3 and I never moved
the thing without worrying weather or not it would tip over. The cut
away modesty panel-the C stands for church-means it's always off
balance when you move it.
Just my two cents.

you probably got paid - quit yer bitchin' and get me a jack and
coke...and where's my make up?

just kidding!

while it's a bit heavier - there is no balance issue that i know of
unless you've had too many of the aforementioned jack and cokes...if ya
want to explain more in detail - i'm happy to hear what ya mean...i
just moved a c3 in and out of a van and down some modest steps twice
for a couple sessions a month ago...

anyway - i wouldn't take it on the road regardless as you could find
something cheaper to chop up. this is one for the studio ohhhh factor,
i'd think.

peace

Many years ago, I played in a band with a C-3. We used a dolly
contraption that gave us two handles on either end of the organ. Heavy
as a MF, but still maneuverable (don't remember any balance issues).
But to this day, I can do most of the chick vocal parts on sessions.

Obviously I used the dollies, you can't move one without one. And the
problems came when I was putting in the truck. First, I worked alone.
that meant there was a period when the thing was tipped up half in the
truck and half on the pavement. Very tippy and I never had the same
feeling with a B3, of which I meved plenty..

i'm glad you have a comment about it phil- but it's kinda anecdotal.
again i just moved another C on a dolly and had no sweats...but hey -
if anyone is going to attempt to move this thing by him or herself -
please start the one armed pushups.

i'm also in the strange position to also say my last girlfriend moved
an A101 4 blocks no dolly. she found it in the trash. amazing. 5'8"
/ 135. perhaps you could hook her up with a gig!

12% interest on the 1800 dollar board kills me! i guess i'm not paying
them cards off after all.

fletch - if you know a good way to get it to ya out there i'd
oblige...i just would have no idea how to ship it cost effectively.
thanks for the interest.
